Pastor’s Personal Assistants Ministry

We are responsible for rendering several personal tasks for Pastor Davis and Pastor D at the church, their home and occasionally during travel and local engagements.  We are available to assist Pastor Davis and Pastor D at any given time, no matter how large or small the task may be.

Security

"Those who forsake the law praise the wicked, but those who keep the law strive with them.” Proverbs 28:4

 

The Mission of the Security Ministry is to maintain an environment of peace and order (conducive for worship) during any function in which the Higher Ground Tabernacle of Praise Family has gathered.

Ushers (Doormen)

"For a day in your courts is better than a thousand.  I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than dwell in the tents of wickedness."  (Psalm 84:10) (NKJV)

The (Usher) Doormen Ministry is one of the first ministries that makes contact with partners and guests. We want everyone who enters Higher Ground Tabernacle of Praise to have an encounter with God. Our mission is to make this encounter so special for both partners and guests, that the Spirit of God will start ministering right at the point of entrance.

Parking

"Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the Lord: This gate of the Lord, into which the righteous shall enter. I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation." Psalm 118:19-21

This dedicated group of workers orchestrates the flow of traffic during Higher Ground Tabernacle of Praise services.

Transportation

“So his master said, ‘Go out into the country lanes and behind the hedges and urge anyone you find to come, so that the house will be full.” – Luke 14:23 (NLT)

Higher Ground Transportation Ministry serves the community by providing a way to get to services and other special events. We strive to reach out to people who want to attend church but don’t have the means to get there.

Temple Keepers Ministry

Temple Keepers Ministry is responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of the church offices and sanctuary.

​

Media/ Audio/ Ministry

This ministry is responsible for all sanctuary audio recordings, the sanctuary sound system, and the video overlays of lyrics and messages on the sanctuary screen.  In addition, this ministry is composed of the audio and video sections, which is responsible for the audio recording, CD duplication, and the video taping of the worship services, crusades and special activities of the church. They seek to develop the God-given talents of our members to electronically bring Pastor Boston Davis into homes around the world, by providing a customer experience rivaling that which is found in the secular media, i.e. TV, radio, Internet, podcasts, CDs and DVDs.

New Membership/Discipleship

New Membership/Discipleship Coordinator - The purpose is to welcome each New Member to HGTOP and  to make them feel at home while finding their purpose in the ministry.  It is our goal to help people feel connected; comfortable and committed to experience this life changing ministry. The workers keep in personal, ongoing contact with the membership, and assist the ministerial staff with the concerns of the members of the church.

 

Hostesses

Greet, direct and escort members and first time visitors attending Higher Ground Tabernacle of Praise. Responsible for handling and/or assisting with sensitive situations involving women and children. Responsible for distributing and disseminating information about all church functions to members and visitors on the grounds.
